I found it very interesting that the teacher Kelly Doyle introduced blogging to her students at grade 1.
I like the idea of blogging as it gives shy students a medium to share their stories without fear of sharing in front of a large crowd or being overhanded by students with louder personalities.
I was surprised to find that teacher Jeff Horwitz states twittering as the best source of professional development.

I think there still are some barriers to move to a more modern type classroom because many teachers are taught and sent in ways of the past. How do we as TC address the change specially when the teacher is very reluctant?

I believe classrooms need to move with the times and educate our students will all the skills they will need in life. Learning to use the internet in a safe way is a vital skill our students need. From my experience I have seen how excited students get about learning when it has something to do with technology. As teachers we should use this enthusiasm to educate the students about the world about us.
